The Blacksmith is a boot beloved for its highly wearable, everyday versatility. A sleek, smooth toe leads the way and solid hardware adorned with flat waxed laces are as every bit durable as they are dignified.

The Blacksmith is descended from a boot worn in workshops by day and shined up to go out at night. The 6-inch boot was designed to protect feet and ankles from hot cinders at the forge, and today it locks out dirt in the summer and snow in the winter. True to its roots, the Blacksmith blends construction and materials that create both rugged durability and handsome styling. Premium leather and a three-quarter Goodyear leather welt with Puritan triple-stitch construction sit on a Vibram 430 Mini-Lug outsole that provides reliable all-season traction.

As per Red Wing’s recommendation, we suggest you choose a half to a whole EU or US size smaller (depending on if you have a wider or more narrow foot), than usually worn in other brands of shoes. This is due to the fact that the leather of their shoes will stretch and soften within the first weeks of wear due to bodyweight, sweat, and warmth. In addition, you will create your own footbed by wearing the shoe.
